JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Clinical Services Manager for maternal fetal medicine sonography services at Duke Perinatal Wilmington located in Wilmington, NC.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee daily clinical practice of sonographers, and their work environment in accordance with sonographer governing body(s). Review and monitor staffing levels and productivity.
- Develop and implement performance improvement activities. Perform quality assurance of sonographer images.
- Manage various personnel actions including, but not limited to hiring, orientation, performance appraisals, promotions and scheduling; and counsel and conduct formal discipline of clinical staff.
- Market and promote imaging services to referring physicians. Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction.
- Assist with preparation and monitoring of the ultrasound specific budget components for the clinical department. Perform analysis of financial information, reporting trends and patterns; prepare corrective action plan as necessary.
- Facilitate the team process including the interdisciplinary communication and negotiation skills. Assist teams in development of team goals and standards; evaluate the educational and competency needs of staff.
- Manage and resolve concerns encountered by personnel in the development of objectives and goals, annual budgets, physical facility, equipment and supply needs, organizational structure, work distribution and operations process.
- Conduct performance evaluations for team leaders.
- Work with all levels of the DUHS system to reduce costs, enhance revenues, and achieve effective use of imaging services. Perform other related duties incidental to the work therein.
JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Work requires completion of an accredited Bachelor's degree in a clinical field such as Nursing, Social Work, Physical Therapy, Occupations Therapy, Speech Therapy or a related field.
- Work requires a minimum of five years of clinical experience, including supervisory experience.
- ARDMS OB/GYN and Fetal Echocardiogram certification required.
