JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Patient Service Associate to coordinate and participate in a variety of duties associated with daily clinic preparation process, patient identification, patient check in/out, collect and post payments and patient appointment scheduling. Position also involves customer service, message distribution, obtain and verify insurance information and scheduling.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verify and update patient demographic and insurance data during the check in process. Collect and post co-payments and balances on accounts due. Assist with walk in requests. Obtain and scan COA/ HIPPA/Medicare documents to the patient’s charts. Check-out patients and schedule follow ups as needed. Coordinate all labs/procedures as requested. Follow correct process for patients obtaining prescriptions, forms, and other patient documents. Daily closing of cash drawer.
- Answer phones, transfer call and send messages. Use Jabber when necessary.
- Process faxes and distribute accordingly.
- Scanning.
- Other duties as assigned mail, all Maestro Care In-Basket requests includes (appointments, prescription, staff messages) maintenance of the lobby, restocking supplies).
- Process medical records.
JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Work requires knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles normally acquired through high school education.

Minimum of one year of work experience in directly communicating and providing service to patients or public; preferably in a healthcare related field. Experience in effectively coordinating multiple tasks or activities.
JOB HOURS
The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
