Job Summary:
We are seeking an LPN in our Brier Creek GI Clinic located in Raleigh, NC to independently plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in a GI/Endoscopy unit in accordance with the medical and nursing plans of care and established policies and procedures. Provide nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the LPN as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform intake of patients to include vital signs, visit information, and other clinical information as indicated.
- Administers medication to patients as ordered by providers or by established protocols following the six rights of medication administration.
- Set up and assist with Anorectal Manometry (ARM) study.
- Review educational information with patients and families.
- Administrative office duties, including scheduling of procedures, communicating with patients via phone, and Epic My Chart. Ordering supplies.
- Setup and assist with hemorrhoidal banding procedures. Prepare, set up and assist with video capsule procedures (Pillcams).
- Stock and maintain inventory of patient care supplies and linen.
- Clean and Stock Rooms, clean and dress exam tables.
- Follow protocols established by clinic leadership.
- Assist with performing Anorectal Manometry procedures.
- Participates in performance improvement projects.
- Float in practice to other specialties to cover patient and provider needs as delegated by Health Center Administrator, Nurse Manager, charge nurse or others as delegated by clinic leadership.
- Maintain clinical environment to meet JCAHO, IP and OSHA regulations.
- Other duties as delegated by health center administrator, nurse manager, provider, charge nurse or other as delegated.
Job Eligibility Requirements:
- Work requires graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program.
- One year experience as an LPN strongly preferred
- Previous experience in Gastroenterology, Ambulatory Specialty Care, Primary Care, Urgent Care or Emergency Department setting preferred.

The schedule for this position is Monday -Friday Day Shift
