General Description of the Job Class
Provide exceptional support enabling ongoing tactical execution of Supply Chain distribution operations governed by our ERP (SAP) via a spectrum of front-end Inventory Management (IMS) software applications; Pyxis, TrackCore, Syft, and Qsite. Successful utilization of IMS technologies to run reports, extract data, perform analysis and execute tasks aligned with PAR Optimization and/or parallel distribution strategy. Coordinate and manage Supply Chain related special projects with other stakeholders. This job requires an intricate attention to detail, focused & disciplined productivity, while emphasizing high-quality output. Candidates for this role must be open thinkers and problem solvers, able to multi-task, wade through chaos, openly communicate, work through barriers, and deliver results.
Duties and Responsibilities of this Level
-You will be assigned and responsible for managing ~100 Stock Locations
-Service ticket processing for assigned locations
-Support ongoing product conversions, data changes and label distribution as warranted
-Support IMS conversions, through installation, and perpetual operations of the aforementioned
applications, including:
>Leading stakeholder engagement from project start to finish (e.g. information systems, E&O, Nurse Managers, Supply Chain Operations Leaders, etc.)
>Physical Build, Data Load, and labelling Stock Locations
-Conduct supply chain-related technology training to all end users (e.g. Supply Chain personnel, Nursing,
and etc.)
-Perform appropriate analysis between SAP and front-end IMS to support Supply Chain operations
-Troubleshoot, Isolate, and Mitigate issues resulting from faulty data flow between SAP and IMS
applications (e.g. unit of measure discrepancy error between SAP and Pyxis, or other)
-Build new, update existing, and delete obsolete inventory locations in SAP and Pyxis
-Manage patient reconciliation - Daily function
-Monthly preventive maintenance + ongoing data integrity maintenance to keep systems harmonized
-Provide support for supply chain technology solutions (e.g. bar code scanners, RFID and other expandable
wireless products).
-Document service calls - Daily function
-Participation in the team’s monthly On Call rotation (24/7 - 365 coverage)
-Develop and execute system functional testing for new installs
-Provide support to Supply Chain Operations related special projects as warranted
-Ability to support and visit all Duke Health System facilities to support applicable Supply Chain
initiatives; Main Campus + affiliates (primary), Duke Regional, Duke Raleigh
-Ability to learn and apply knowledge & application of Supply Chain Inventory Management practices
-Able to work autonomously with little or no supervision from manager and report results
-Ability to comprehend existing processes & workflows with an eye on refinement to eliminate waste/improve efficiency with no loss of quality
-Work cooperatively with others to achieve organizational and team goals.
-Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate to contribute creating new ideas and problem-solving.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clinical staff and external customers to promote exceptional patient care.
-This job class is considered “Essential,” as such this role ties in other ancillary responsibilities when necessary (upon activation); severe weather, local emergency (disaster) and/or facility specific responses (flood), pandemic protocols
General ability and willingness to perform additional job functions (within reason) are necessary to ensure safe patient care practices as directed by supply chain management via HICs command. As such, staff are required to be cross- trained to perform, when needed, in other Supply Chain related capacities.

**Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. In this particular job the
e. xertional requirements to push/pull the unloaded and loaded supply carts with the duty requiring up to 100 pounds of exertional force daily. Reaching, lifting, stooping and bending are frequent in daily duties.**
Required Qualifications at this Level
Education: High School diploma/degree or GED required. Completion of technical certifications preferred, but not required. Bachelors degree preferred, but not required
Experience: Two years of experience in a hospital supply chain or related setting to acquire sufficient knowledge of operational paradigm; ordering, replenishment, distribution, procurement, etc... ERP experience - preferably SAP. Supply Chain capabilities, Pyxis technologies and project management skills. Experience with supply chain technology solutions (e.g. bar code scanners, RFID and other expandable wireless products).
Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Excel, Outlook and Word.
Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification: Valid State Driver's license required. Completion of technical certifications preferred, but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of hospital supply chain / distribution system; experience with supplies, ordering, workflow and departmental limitations; basic computer competency; positive interpersonal communication methods; proven leadership skills.
