Primary Role
The IT Application Manager for Revenue Cycle Applications is responsible for setting direction and effectively managing work product, personnel and other resources for assigned department(s). The Revenue Cycle Applications Manager will be responsible for managing all personnel actions for staff, which include: hiring, performance management, career development, time off, work schedules, disciplinary actions, staff recognition, etc. The will ensure relevant information is disseminated to staff in a timely fashion. Help facilitate bottom-up communication between staff and leadership. Participate in the oversight of department budget and other resources. Effectively utilize resources to achieve goals and objectives of the department. Align objectives for the operational unit with functional or project goals and objectives. Develop buy-in and employee commitment to the goals. Create and support a work environment that promotes and recognizes the DUHS Values: Caring for Our Patients, Their Loved Ones, and Each Other through Teamwork, Diversity, Safety, Integrity and Excellence. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. In addition to the duties described of an IT Manager, the Senior IT Manager will also be responsible for alignment of objectives for the department with functional, organizational, and project goals. Establish and oversee department goals and objectives. Develop strategic focus for the department, with some entity and enterprise influence. Responsible for the development and oversight of department budget and other resources.
Essential Tasks/Responsibilities
- Lead design sessions for new projects and requests
- Utilize strong analytical skills to solve problems with technical solutions for clinicians
- Support fast and innovative solutions across multiple teams
- Bridge gaps between a variety of application and technical teams drawing on broad and diverse technical background
- Maintain ties with application teams for important knowledge of workflows
- Collaborate with leaders across teams, technical colleagues, and senior leadership
- Demonstrate solid understanding of health system workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical requirements associated with application software as they relate to system design and build decisions.
- Ensures processes and workflows are up-to-date and effective, recommending changes as necessary.
- Proactively apprise leadership of emerging technical issues that may require attention.
- Focus on improving technical aspects of application infrastructure including migration of existing applications to the Cloud environment and planning high availability redundancy where necessary.
- Develop strategy and guidelines for system selection and implementation.
- Ability to support and implement various Revenue Cycle Applications.

Education/training
Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field, or four years of equivalent technical experience required.
