Pratt Undergraduate Education is seeking a collaborative and highly organized Senior Program Coordinator to support programs that inspire undergraduate research, ethical leadership, character development, and student success. In this role, you will help shape meaningful student experiences by coordinating high-impact programs, managing operations, supporting faculty and student engagement, and ensuring the successful delivery of initiatives such as undergraduate research and Character Forward programs.
You will serve as a key operational partner, managing program administration, communications, events, financial activities, participant support, and assessment efforts. From coordinating application processes and research funding to planning student showcases and workshops, you'll play an important role in helping students connect with transformational learning opportunities both inside and outside the classroom.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is generally required.
- Three years of experience in program administration related to academic programs, student development, advising, instructional support, or related activities.
- Experience planning, coordinating, implementing, and assessing programs, initiatives, events, and operational processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in higher education, particularly in undergraduate education, academic affairs, student development, undergraduate research, or similar environments.
- Experience coordinating student-focused programs such as undergraduate research, leadership development, fellowships, grants, scholarships, or other experiential learning initiatives.
- Experience planning and executing workshops, conferences, symposia, recognition events, and other large-scale programs involving multiple stakeholders.
- Experience managing budgets, financial transactions, reimbursements, purchasing processes, and financial reporting.
- Experience supporting assessment efforts, data collection, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience managing websites, online application systems, communications platforms, or other technology tools used for program administration and participant engagement.
Other Requirements
- Must maintain a flexible schedule, including occasional evening and weekend commitments.
- This position is hybrid eligible. The employee must reside in a Duke University-approved state and is expected to work primarily on campus, with an anticipated schedule of four days on-site and one day remote, subject to business needs and supervisor approval.

Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinate administration of undergraduate research, character and leadership development, and other high-impact experiential learning programs, including application and registration systems, participant selection, records management, scheduling, and program tracking.
- Manage program websites, resources, procedures, and online platforms to support participant engagement and efficient program operations.
- Support students, faculty mentors, and program participants throughout the lifecycle of assigned programs, providing guidance, coordinating communications, monitoring milestones, and facilitating successful participation.
- Monitor program budgets, process reimbursements and payments, coordinate research funding and participant support resources, and maintain financial records and reports.
- Plan and execute workshops, trainings, speaker events, symposia, networking opportunities, student showcases, and related activities, including all event logistics and communications.
- Develop and implement outreach and marketing efforts through websites, newsletters, email campaigns, social media, and promotional materials to increase program awareness and participation.
- Collect and analyze participation and assessment data, prepare reports and presentations, and identify opportunities to improve program effectiveness and participant experiences.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, and external partners while supporting collaboration across multiple stakeholders.
- Supervise and support student interns and student workers who contribute to program operations and initiatives.

Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $49,939.00 to USD $79,487.00.
