The Research Technician 1 role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to a high-impact, ARPA-H-funded research initiative focused on advancing solutions for osteoarthritis. Given the project’s time-sensitive milestones, this position plays a critical role in accelerating experimental progress, from animal behavioral testing to tissue analysis and support for drug development using nanomaterials. We are looking for temporary full-time assistance for 3 to 6 months. This position is 100% research/grant funded.
Minimum Requirements:
- Work requires an Associate degree in botany, biology, zoology, psychology, or other science-related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Animal handling
- Von Frey measurements and/or Dynamic Weight Bearing
- Chemical Synthesis
- Quality Control and/or Microtome Usage

Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $18.00 to USD $26.49.
