Human epithelial surfaces are colonized by hundreds of trillions of commensal microbes representing thousands of unique bacterial species (the human microbiota). The David lab seeks to understand, predict, and manipulate how human microbiota behave over time. We are particularly interested in how these human-associated microbial communities resist and respond to perturbation.

Position Description:
The Research Scholar will support research on a smart toilet system for automated urine output monitoring through clinical study management, quantitative analysis of clinical and sensor-derived data, algorithm development, and manuscript preparation. Responsibilities will include coordinating study activities, managing and analyzing research datasets, supporting validation of device performance in hospital settings, and contributing to publications and grant-related research materials.
Minimum Requirements:
A PhD degree is required.
