OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY
Administer and coordinate the activities of a large network of specialized research units. Acts as an advisor to unit-level collaborators to meet metrics related to quality management and/or resolve technical problems as they arise. Develops and administers milestone-driven schedules, project activities, training activities and project network interactions. Frequently interacts with quality teams and coordinates wider program activities with responsibility for results in terms of methods and reporting requirements. Assists in data management and in preparing progress reports for leadership.
WORK PERFORMED
Research Quality Management Program (RQMP) Project Management
- Assist, develop, and implement the RQMP throughout the institution
- Establish policies and procedures for milestones for RQTs and evaluation of these milestones
- Develop educational resources for RQTs including workshops, townhall meetings, presentations, and best practice materials
- Implement training for Research Quality Teams as needed
- Evaluate scholarly culture and accountability plans
- Maintain and develop RQMP software infrastructure
Clinical Quality Management Program (CQMP)
- Develop processes for assessing research quality and data management in CRUs
- Develop tools for tracking and ensuring research quality and data management in CRUs
- Develop reporting mechanism for CRU review
- Develop CQMP guidance and educational materials to support reviewers in the CRUs
- Further develop understanding of clinical research studies ranging from internally funded, observational, industry sponsored (Phase I, II, III) and all aspects of protocol, including consent evaluation
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
DEPARTMENTAL PREFERENCES
Experience
Minimum of five years of experience working in research programs or laboratories.
Must have a minimum of two years of experience performing work specific to the position.
A Master's degree in biological or health sciences may substitute for two years of required experience.
A PhD biological or health sciences may substitute for five years of required experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Requires Bachelor degree in related field.
Experience
Minimum of four (4) years of related experience.
