Occupational Summary

Perform a variety of technical duties involved in the application of intermediate statistical and technical skills in the collection, compilation and management of statistical data in support of the National Data Archive on Child abuse and Neglect (NDACAN). Provide direct support to NDACAN data users or general inquires; maintain datasets, codebooks, and user’s guides for data holdings.

 

Work Performed

Perform a variety of duties involving the application of intermediate statistical and technical skills to the to the collection, compilation and analysis of statistical data with strong attention to detail and thoroughness.

Functions independently as a member of a research/study team, keeping organized documentation and reporting.

Participate in the development of operations and procedures for the collection, editing, verification and management of statistical data while maintaining archive standards and sensitivity to data disclosure risks.

Operate one or more systems of computer hardware and statistical analysis software for the management and analysis of data, ideally one or more of SQL, R, Stata, SPSS, or SAS.

Participate in the preparation of written reports and oral presentations that summarize the analysis of data, with an ability to interpret the findings and provide conclusions and recommendations. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Preferred Qualifications

Work requires a minimum of a bachelor degree in statistics, (bio) statistics or related field.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Work requires a bachelor's degree in a field related to the specific position.

Experience

Work requires two years of experience in research/data analysis or related position. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
