Konal nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orde rsand established policies and procedures. Provide nursing services to p atientsand families in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Nurses hired into this limited ben efitedclassification will commit to work a minimum number of hours in adesignated inpatient nursing department. Compensation is a flat rate tha tisbased on years of experience.


Work Performed

Plan, pr ovide, supervise and document professional nursing care utilizing the nu rsing process for patients in accordance with physician orders and estab lished policies and procedures. Use professional nursing judgment to ind ividualize the plan of care based on assessment of the patient's baselin eneeds and response to care.Delegate tasks and supervise the activitieso fother licensed and unlicensed care providers.Assist other nursing perso nnel in the delivery of nursing care and act as team leaderor chargenurs e fora group of patients or an entire unit as assigned.Monitor and initi ate corrective action to maintain the environment of care includingequip ment and material resources.Participate in own professional developmentb y maintaining required competencies, identifying learning needs andseeki ng appropriate assistance or educational offerings.Act as preceptorandsu pport the development of other staff and formal learners.Participatein t he identification of clinical or operational performance improvementoppo rtunities and in performance improvement activities.Perform othnowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of scope of the registered nurse,licen sed practical nurse and NCA.

Knowledge of and appropriate applicat ion of the nursing process
