Occupational Summary
Perform a variety of complex technical duties involved in conducting laboratory tests, experiments and determinations in support of Duke University research operations.
Work Performed
The Hull and Glickfeld Labs are looking for a full-time research technician for a position starting Winter 2024/2025. We are starting a new project investigating the anatomical and physiological basis of sensory prediction errors. Your main responsibilities will include small animal surgeries, behavioral testing/training, calcium imaging and/or silicon probe recordings and data analysis. This is a great opportunity to explore independent research for a recent graduate looking to take a year or two off before applying to medical or graduate school. The ideal candidate will have some previous research experience working with animals, a deep interest in neuroscience, and can code in Matlab and/or Python.
