What You’ll Do:
• Conduct biological data collection, bioinformatics workflows, and single‑cell data analyses.
• Compile, analyze, and document procedures, results, and preliminary conclusions from genomic datasets.
• Collaborate with the principal investigator to shape research plans and analysis strategies.
• Modify existing lab or computational techniques to support evolving research needs.
• Review scientific literature to inform experimental and data analysis approaches.
• Use and maintain high‑performance computing environments and laboratory databases.
• Train new or junior personnel in data collection and analysis procedures.
• Support preparation of research presentations and publications.
• Maintain databases and contribute to high‑quality data stewardship.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, engineering, bioinformatics, or a related quantitative scientific field.
• Preferred experience in computational biology, single‑cell perturbation data analysis, and programming in Python or R.
• Interest in machine learning, cancer genomics, and single‑cell technologies.

Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $18.00 to USD $26.49. Duke University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills; internal peer equity; as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
