Work Performed

All your time will be reserved for research activities. We expect you will focus your research on the following. 

1) Study mechanisms of chronic pain in animal models of pain and cancer.

2) Conduct experiments using behavioral, cellular, molecular, and genetic approaches. 

3) Develop novel therapeutics for the control of pain and cancer 

4) Participate in project discussion of Dr. Ji’s funded NIH and DoD grants. 

5) Analyze data and prepare manuscript with authorship. 

6) Present data in the national and international meetings.

7) Apply for federal, regional, and industry grants. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Min Degree Requirements:  Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g. Sc.D., M.D., D.V.M.).

Other Credential/Experiential Requirements:  Visiting scholar engaging in temporary research at Duke.
