Our work is translational evaluating the role of microbial metabolic pathways in mediating resistance to immunotherapy. We leverage patient samples as the cornerstone of our research and every endeavor in our lab is geared towards improving clinical outcomes for cancer patients. We are developing a metabolomics-based biomarker panel to predict responses to immunotherapy in solid cancers, thus advancing precision Oncology. Another area of interest is development of drugs to target microbial metabolic pathways that mediate resistance to immunotherapy, hence improving patients’ treatment response.
