  • Operations: 

    · Lead, coordinate, and perform a variety of complex independent and team activities involved in the design, collection, analysis, documentation and interpretation of both quantitative and qualitative social, economic or health related data. 

    · Coordinate the development of forms, questionnaires and the application of qualitative and quantitative research techniques; write procedures manuals for data collection and coding. 

    · Contribute to the identification of potential sources of qualitative and quantitative data, evidence, and information as appropriate for addressing project questions and objectives. 

    · Synthesize and translate complex information from a wide range of inputs into clear and accessible written material for a range of audiences. 

    · Establish work procedures; select sources of information and specific data; set up interviews with appropriate authorities or subjects and prepare correspondence to locate the specific data required. 

    · Train lower level personnel, trainees, and peers in research methodology. Supervise the work of lower level employees engaged in the collection and tabulation of data. 

    Minimum Education/Training Job Requirements: 

    Bachelor’s degree or higher in a field related to health equity, health policy, public health, or child health. Master’s degree preferred. 

     

    Minimum Experience Job Requirements: 

    Work requires four years of experience in research/data analysis or related position. 

     

    Job Skill Requirements: 

    • Strong research and writing experience are required. 

    • Strong organizational skills required with administrative, regulatory, project coordination, and/or project management experience. 

    • Policy research skills, including the ability to synthesize content from a broad range of sources. 

    • Basic quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis capabilities. Experience using programs such as Stata, R, Python, Nvivo and other similar programs preferred. 

    • Strong written communication skills and the ability to transform complicated information into easy to understand materials are required. 

    • Ability to interact professionally with senior-level individuals (e.g., local, state, and national policymakers), stakeholders, and organizations. 

    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team is required. 

    • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with varied responsibilities and able to respond flexibly to changing needs. 

    • Proficient in use of standard computing software (including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint); capacity to learn additional job-specific programs as required. 

    • Training or experience in the fields of health policy, public policy, health equity, public health, or social sciences is preferred. 

    • Bilingual working proficiency preferred (Spanish and English)

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

Education

Work requires a Bachelor's degree in a field related to the specific position. A Master's degree is strongly preferred.

 

Experience

 

Work requires four years of experience in research/data analysis or OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE related position.
