Duke Recre ation and Physical Education is seeking individuals to become a part of ourRecreation Center Guest Services Attendant and Facility Monitor staff .We are seeking employees who can commit to between 12-19.9 hours per we ek.

Qualif ied candidates should meet the following requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED equivale ncy
· Must b e able to use a computer
· At lea st 1 full year customer service experience or working with the public</p >
· Certification in Fir st-Aid, CPR/AED or willingness to obtain within 60 days
· Must be able to attend and participate in off hour training sessions (usually about 2 per semester) < /span>
· Ability to interact with diverse groups through a variety of situations
· Ability to use independent judgment whenne eded
· Strong proble m‐solving skills
· M ust be able to accommodate a variable work schedule that may include ear ly mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays.

Job Responsibilities:
Guesterve as the first link to the recreation centers, isresponsible for greeting members and guests upon arrival as well as acknowledge their departure.
· Checkall members, guests and v isitors in and out of the facilities.
· Monitor flow of traffic into and out ofthe facility.
· Ensure Duke ID cards and guest passes are current and valid to access the facilities.
· Answer any questions or concerns users ha ve. If you are unable to answer question, refer them to the appropriate Recreation & Physical Education staff personnel or department.</span >
· Follow procedures to register guests and visitors.
· </s pan>Supervise electronic waivers for all guests and visito rs.
· Arrange and m aintain the Lost & Found cabinet in an orderly and organized manner at all times.
· Conf irm theon-line daily schedule forindoor/outdoor reservations.
· Complete all forms as necessary.< /span>
· Check outloan equipment and ensure eq uipment is returned and does not leave the facility.
· Promote a safe and clean facility that is welcoming to all.
· Perform other duties as assi gned.

Facili ty Monitor
· F ill in for the front desk and weight room staff when needed.
· Consistently move around the facility to check all doors, alarms, lockerrooms , and bathrooms.
· Address the cleanliness of the cardio areas and machines.
· Trac k and enforce day locker policies (includinglocker rooms).
</ p>
· Enforce all facility polic ies and procedures.
· Assi st the front desk staff during busy check-in times.
·< span> Follow all opening and closing procedures.</s pan>
· Carry outsecurity measures.
· Respond to all building emerg encies (Accidents/Injuries, Inclement Weather, etc.)
· Execute the set‐up of activity areas for variety of internal &a mp; external groups when needed.
· </spa n>Provide support for special events, as needed.
· Ensure outstanding customer service.
< p>· Work cooperatively with other area of the department to achieve established goals.· Promote a safe, clean, functional fa cility that is welcoming to all.
· Perform other work as assigned.

Anticipated Pay Range:
Duke U niversity provides an annual base salary range for thisposition as USD $ 18.00 to USD $22.42.
