General Description of the Job Class
Provide administrative direction to the Oncology Service Line to include managing and coordinating strategic initiatives related to access and growth, finance, quality and safety and workforce development. Facilitate improvement in clinical quality, patient experience, and operations.
Duties and Responsibilities of this Level
- Oversee oncology program operations and develop policies, planning and priorities.
- Plan and communicate activities aimed at improving the hospital, the Oncology Service Line and departmental performance in operations and growth.
- Serve as a resource for Oncology and leadership for priority initiatives.
- Utilize various performance improvement tools and incorporate findings and action plans into master oncology plans.
- Serve as project manager for interdisciplinary teams.
- Partner with leadership team to develop metrics to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Evaluate effectiveness of improvement strategy initiatives through sustained monitoring of performance.
- Develop reports to present data, action plans, and outcomes pertaining to oncology initiatives.
- Facilitate projects and training to support teams, maintaining a collaborative partnership and integrating evidence-based practice.
Required Qualifications at this Level
Education:
Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.
Experience:
Work requires the ability to plan and administer programs and direct program activities within a specific functional area, generally acquired through four years of related experience.
