JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Program Coordinator in our Adult Psychiatry Practice and Behavioral Health Clinical Service Unit (CSU) located in Durham, NC to be an integral member of the healthcare team to provide direct and indirect care to patients.

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with Vice Chair for Clinical Services (VCCS) and medical directors to strategize and project clinical service coverage a year in advance for 65+ DHIP providers across 15 sites.  Work with HCAs, medical directors and other administrators for short term adjustments to effort allocation and provider schedules for adequate shift coverage and to stay compliant with performance metrics.
  • Manage migration of provider schedules from Amion to QGenda systems and monitor updates for system changes or requirements.  Develop QGenda reference guides and training for staff and providers. 
  • Analyze provider effort through review of actual clinical services provided against projections.  When effort exceeds projects, manage quarterly additional compensation reporting. When effort falls below projections, work with medical directors, CSU Director, and VCCS to identify solutions. Analyze reports on financial outcomes and make follow-up recommendations to CSU Director and VCCS.
  • With clinical input from medical directors, CSU Director, and VCCS, develop new provider policies, guidelines, processes and expectations. Update and maintain the current repository of provider policies, guidelines, processes and expectations. Share new or updated information with providers and leadership.
  • Work with the CSU director and VCCS to develop improved faculty performance and quality metrics.  This will include the development of a 360-evaluation process. Create a system to track and share metrics with faculty on a regular cadence. Assess provider performance and adherence to program requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement processes for continuous improvement. Partner with medical directors, CSU Director, or VCCS to develop and execute faculty performance improvement plans.
  • Analyze reports on provider-driven program quality outcomes and make follow-up recommendations to medical directors, CSU Director, and VCCS.
  • Develop and maintain adult psychiatry acute care services website and social media presence.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work requires analytical, communications and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program
  • Work requires three years of experience in program administration or involving academic, instructional or counseling activities to acquire skills necessary to plan, coordinate and implement a variety of program activities and events. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
