This position will support several of our ongoing projects related to our studies examining the role of the tumor-intrinsic NLRP3 inflammasome pathway in immunotherapy resistance.  This will require experience in tissue culture work, flow cytometry, animal handling and experimentation, qrt-PCR, Western blot, as well as the execution and analysis of RNAseq/scRNAseq.  The individual in this position will be expected to keep accurate lab notes, perform experimental troubleshooting, discuss ongoing work and research trajectory both in group lab meetings and in one-on-one meetings with the PI, while also keeping abreast of the literature in the areas related to each project.  This individual will work under a senior research scientist and will be working in collaboration with another post-doctoral associate, a post-bac research assistant, and two laboratory technicians. 

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

Education

PhD Degree with a background in tumor immunology

 

Experience

  • Interest and experience in working with murine tumor models required

  • Significant experience in multi-parameter flow cytometry and in the design of cell-based assays required
     

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with good organizational and analytical abilities

  • Capable of working independently on assigned projects while thriving in a team-oriented environment

 

Preferences

  • Experience in performing and analyzing bulk RNAseq/scRNAseq preferred

  • Interest and experience in conducting spatial transcriptomic studies preferred

  • Experience in conducting proximity ligation assays and fluorescence in situ hybridization on tumor tissue specimens preferred

  • Previous grant writing experience preferred
