Occupational Summary
Responsibilities
• Plan, prepare and instruct safe and effective training sessions and fitness assessments.
• Maintain knowledge of general fitness, wellness, anatomy, kinesiology, and physiology as it relates to human movement and muscular conditioning
• Provide fun and motivational instruction and education on the benefits of healthy living through exercise
• Assist with maintaining training and fitness assessment equipment inventories
• Maintain and organize confidential client information and paperwork
• Understand and enforce University Recreation and Area Specific policies and guidelines
• Attend required department and university trainings
• Develop professional relationships with co-workers, participants, and guests

Minimum Qualifications
Education
Certifications: American Red Cross CPR/AED; Group exercise certification from a credible organization or Personal training certification from a credible organization or Physical Education degree
