About Duke Health's Patient Revenue Management Organization
Pursue your passion for caring with the Patient Revenue Management Organization, which is Duke Health's fully integrated, centralized revenue cycle organization that supports the entire health system in streamlining the revenue cycle. This includes scheduling, registration, coding, billing, and other essential revenue functions.
Check-in (50%)
· Check-in patientsuponarrival in the clinic;
· Identify and verify patie ntdemographic and insurance datain Maestro Care and edit as needed.
· Print patient arm bands and verify patientt
· Notify patients of co-payment r equirementsand outstandingbalances.
· </ span>Collect and post co-payments and balances on accounts due;
· Completes all MaestroCare check-in files and manage allappropriate alerts;
< p>· Educate patients on the require dformsandobtain signatures as necessary.· Explainbillingaccording to PRMOcredit and collectio npolicies.
· Ensure t hatpatients receivefinancial counseling if necessary;
- Enter daily treatment appoints as needed
- Directing all telephone calls to proper areas< /li>
- Clear patient work queues

· Ensure pre-visit orders are entered ;
· Coordinate and sch edulelabs andprocedures in accordance with physician preferences;
· Check- out patients and sc hedule returnappointments.
· Review and coordinate appointment requests, determin eappropriate services, physician and appropriateness of setting.
· Coordinate labs and proce du Notify patients of all appointment changes.

Other Duties (20%)
- Responsible for managing the patient pager system including: edu cate patients at check in and give pager instructions, collectpagers at the end of each shift, and restock pager bases in eachclinic forn ext day;

Experience
Minimum of one y ear of work experience in directly communicating andproviding service to patients or public; preferably in a healthcarerelated field. Experience in effectively coordinating multiple tasks oractivities.
