This posting is for a temporary, part-time Program Coordinator who will provide high-level project management along with support for research. The Project Coordinator will work directly under the supervision of the Director of Graduate Studies

Assistance with DGS and related administrative projects

  • developing and maintaining a project management system to coordinate projects across the MS-GH program, the DGHI Climate and Global Health Education initiative, and the Duke Center for Community Engagement
  • manage the Director’s calendars, schedule meetings/convenings with various stakeholders across Duke and outside of Duke
  • monitor progress to various project milestones, and ensure deliverables are met according to their timelines
  • co-lead a landscape analysis of graduate and professional certificate programs for Community Engaged Research across the U.S., collect and analyze data;  and prepare a report to the Duke DCCE with a proposal for creating a CER program at Duke.

 

Assistance with research projects 

 

  • support minor administrative tasks
  • prepare and revise IRB documents
  • scheduling and preparing reports for bi-annual Data Safety and Management Board meetings
  • preparing annual reports
  • cleaning datasets and preparing data for analysis
  • conducting literature reviews and writing evidence summaries
  • scheduling field visits and interviews
  • preparing reports and other research presentations
  • assisting with submission of manuscripts for publication
  • drafting grant proposals.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience is needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Desired qualifications include a Masters degree global health or related field; strong qualitative research skills; excellent communication skills; experience with project management tools. An ability to work independently, leadership, and reliability are highly valued.

It is preferred that you be available for in-person work in Durham, NC, for 1-2 days per week and any other times when required for job responsibilities

Anticipated Pay Range:

Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position at full, time, 40 hours a week as USD $ $44,766.00 to USD $ $71,706.00.
