Post-doctoral Research Associate at Duke University
A post-doctoral research associate position is now open at Duke University. The ideal individual will develop and apply novel statistical and computational methods to multi-omics data, including bulk sequencing, single-cell sequencing, and spatial transcriptomics data. The aim is to identify phenotype-associated genetic and genomic variations. The individual will work with Dr. Jichun Xie (https://sites.duke.edu/jichunxie/) and interact with other faculty members in quantitative and biomedical areas in and outside Duke University.
We expect a successful candidate to have the following qualifications.
- Completed Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Strong skills in statistical or machine learning methodology development and implementation
- Strong programming skills in R or Python; experience in genomic software and pre-processing pipelines is a plus
- Strong motivation to study genomics or other related biomedical areas
