Postdoctoral Associate – Prostate Cancer Metabolism (Jiaoti Huang Lab)

Working under the mentorship of a Duke faculty leader, you will develop your independent research program, contribute to high-impact publications, and build the foundation for your future academic or research career.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

Research & Discovery

Conduct full-time, independent research activities focused on prostate cancer metabolism, with emphasis on purine depletion as a therapeutic mechanism.
Design, execute, and interpret experiments while maintaining rigorous scientific standards.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary researchers across Duke to advance project outcomes.

Scholarly Contributions

Publish research findings in peer‑reviewed journals and present work at scientific conferences.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive laboratory records, which remain Duke property.

Training & Professional Development

Receive structured mentorship to help prepare for a long-term academic or research career.
Engage in open, timely dialogue with your mentor regarding research goals, professional development, and scientific integrity.

Required Qualifications

A PhD or equivalent doctorate (e.g., MD, ScD, DVM).
Candidates who have completed all degree requirements but await formal conferral may be considered with proper documentation.
International candidates must hold conferred degrees to meet visa eligibility requirements.
