Postdoctoral Associate – Dr. Nicholas Parrish

The Department of Surgery is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to join our team. The research project will include pre- and post-operative management and assessment of animals after transplant (micro)surgical procedures. Experience with mouse models of survival surgery is necessary. For appropriately qualified candidates, opportunities will be available for involvement in translational and clinical research.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate laboratory documentation of experiments, including raw experimental data and laboratory notebooks.
  • Monitor progress of research projects and coordinate with Principal Investigator and Program team to stay on budget and schedule to meet the milestones and deliverables.
  • Follow standards of responsible conduct in research.
  • Comply with good scholarly and research practice.
  • Adhere to University standards regarding use of isotopes, chemicals, infectious agents, animals, human subjects, and the like.
  • Comply with all applicable University and Department of Surgery policies and procedures.

 

Minimum Requirements: 

Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g. M.B.B.S., Sc.D., D.V.M.)

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • · Medical Degree (MD) Preferred

 

This position is Onsite. The work is performed on-site or at a designated assignment location.
