The Bagnat lab in the Cell Biology department seeks to hire a postdoctoral associate to conduct experimental research in the field of morphogenesis and physiology using zebrafish as model system. Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree. The selected candidate will conduct experimental work using zebrafish including but not limited to microscopy, genetic analyses, genome editing, and physiological assays. Expected duties and responsibilities include attending and presenting at lab meetings and seminars and collaborate with lab upkeep. Prior experience in zebrafish biology and microscopy is preferred. Preferred Qualifications:
Excellence in the areas of biological and biomedical research, as indicated by the record of discovery, the record of innovation and tool-making, and the history of publication in strong research journals. Strong quantitative and writing skills.
This will be a minimum one-year appointment, contingent upon satisfactory annual reviews.
This position is located at the Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, NC.
