About Duke Health's Patient Revenue Management Organization
Pursue your passion for caring with the Patient Revenue Management Organization, which is Duke Health's fully integrated, centralized revenue cycle organization that supports the entire health system in streamlining the revenue cycle. This includes scheduling, registration, coding, billing, and other essential revenue functions.
Coordinate and participate in a variety of duties associated wi thdaily Answer telephone, take and deliver messages tophysicians, nurses andscheduling. Position also involves customer serv ice,messageclinic preparation process,Disseminate messages according to practice communication standardscompletely and timely.Prepare for clinic visits by reviewing next day patients and completingpatient identificati on, patient check in/out, charge posting, cashothers. Report obtainedmedical information from patients and referring physicians accurately,Dutie sand Responsibilities of this LevelEnter pre-visit orders and prepare ne wpatient charts. Pick up X-rays,encounter forms.reports, petty cash andc ollections bag. File history sheets, ancillarypatient record documentati on. Return medical records. Attachreports and all other requiredHIPPA/Me dicare documents to thedistribution, ancillary scheduling andnext day pr eparation activities.management and patient appointmentoffice charts, me dical records,Prepare encounter forms. Investigate and account for missi ng encounterentering the primary care physician or referring physicianan dscheduling tests and procedures.requisition/transmittal documents. Copy , file and distribute insurancepreparation and referrals management.Chec k-in patient upon arrival in the practice. Identify correct patientinfor mation in IDX. Verify patientdemographic data. Edit IDX as needed. Accur ately identify theappropriate account for patient visit.Present and educ ate patients on required forms and obtain signature asrequired by policy andprocedure. Completes all IDX check-in files and manage all appropriat ealerts. Collect and post co-payments and balances on accounts due. Impr int all patient specificchart documents andcards as indicated by procedu re.Coordinate all labs/procedures as requested. Maintain private physici anoffice charts.forms. Audit encounter formsfor completeness and accurac y before batching. Batches encounter formsor charge posting in IDX.Sched ule tests and procedures. Complete and distribute ancillaryservice requt ionpolicies. Determine the amount ofcash to be collected based on insuri sitions.Explain billing to patients according to PRMO credit and colleca nce plan.Check-out patients. Make returnappointments by scheduling patie ntsinto the correct appointment type,
