As a Garage Attendant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that our parking operations run smoothly across both the medical and campus environments. You’ll be the face of Duke Parking & Transportation Services—assisting guests, resolving issues, and helping everyone get where they need to go with ease and confidence.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with our Customer Experience Representatives to support daily garage operations and ensure all parking systems are functioning properly.
  • Provide on-the-spot assistance to parkers with ticketing, payment, gate access, and general inquiries.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams including maintenance, enforcement, and parking management.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by helping first-time visitors navigate the campus and resolving issues with professionalism and care.
  • Monitor parking activity and alert management to any operational disruptions or concerns.
  • Participate in training to stay current on equipment use, procedures, and service standards.
  • Uphold Duke’s commitment to excellence by following all parking guidelines and ensuring a positive experience for every guest.

 

What You Bring

 

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: At least 1 year in a customer service or parking-related role, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to multitask, stay organized, and respond to multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.

A proactive, service-oriented mindset and a passion for helping others.

Anticipated Pay Range:

Duke University provides an annual base salary range for thisposition as USD $18.00 to USD $22.42. Education

Work requires communications and or ganizational skills generally acquired through completion of a high school education.

 

Experience
