Occ Summary
Perform a variety of nonprofessional nursing duties in the direct careof patients under the direct supervisio n of aRN/LPN. Perform taskswithin the scope of a nursing care assistant Iand II as defined by theNC Board of Nursing.
Work Performe d
In addition to duties outlined in NAI job description, the foll owingduties may be performed: sterile dressing change for wounds over 48 hours oldand wound irrigation; IV fluid assistance activities;oral/nasogastricfeeding; urinary catheterization and irrigation; oxygentherapy, in cludingroom set-up and monitoring flow-rate; break up andremoval of feca limpaction; oropharyngeal and nasopharyngealsuctioning; tracheotomy car e;ostomy care, irrigation and annual skillsvalidation.Participate in own professional development by maintaining requiredskills validation and at tending educational offerings. Support thedevelopment of other staff and formal learners.Perform other related duties incidental to the work desc ribed herein.
