Perform tasks within the scope of a nursingcare assistant I and II asdefined by the NC Board of Nursing.In addition to duties outlined in NAI, and NA, Float P ool jobdescriptions, the following duties maybeperformed: sterile dressi ng change for wounds over 48 hours oldandwound irrigation; IV fluidassi stance activities; oral/nasogastric feeding; urinarycatheterizationand i rrigation; oxygentherapy,including room set-up and monitoring flow-rate; break up and removal offecal impaction;oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal suctioning; tracheotomy care; ostomycare, irrigation andannualskills va lidation.May perform a variety of health unitcoordinator tasksas require d toobtaining and recording patient data for medical records, enteringin clude, but not limited to,orders into computer, answeringtelephoneand/or patient signals and assisting with transfer anddischarge ofWorkingknowl edge of principles and practices of providingnonprofessional bedside pat ient caremove or life at least fifty

Completion of a Leve l I - Nurse Aide education program approved by theNorth Carolina Board o f Nursing or successful completion of the NC -approved Nurse Aide I comp etency test.High School diploma or equivalent required.
