Occ Summary

Perform a variety of nonprofessional nuitalWorking knowledge of infection control procedures and safety prec autoral/nasogastric feeding and urinarycatherizations/irrigation.Perform otriatetraining.Assist withadmission, discharge, and transportation of patns.Clean assigned area; stock and replenish supplies and equipment as required.Participate in own professional development by maintaining requ iredskills validation and attending educational offerings. Support thede velasrequired.Collect, deliver and conduct routine tests on patient spec imeopment of other staff and formal learners.May also perform sterile dr essients.Follow standard precautions and use personal protective equipme nther related duties incidental to work described herein.


Knowin king water.Perform fingersticks for blood glucose testing, with appropin g change for wounds over 48 hours old,IV fluid assistance activities,nts , set up and feed patients as necessary,provide patients with freshdrrsingduties in the direct careof patients under the direct supervision of a nRN/LPN.


Work Performed

Prepare patients, equipment a nd supplies for specific procedures andprovide manual assistance as requ ired.Obtain and record patient datafor medical records noting andinform ingRN/LPN of information collected.Administer treatment and personalcare procedures to patients including,but not limited to, feeding, bathing,sh aving, changing clothing,cleaning and trimming fingernails, bed-making,a ssisting withambulation, enemas, skin care, and bowel and bladder elimin ation;provide such additional care as required to meet the personalneeds andcomfort of assigned patients.Participate in teaching activitiesbyrei nforcing teaching instructed byRN and/or physician as needed.Assistphysi cian and nurses with physical examinations by helpingposition patients, changing non-sterile dressing and weighing patients.Take and recordvital signs, record I&O, apply ice bags,administerdouches and enemas.Noteand report any changes in patient's condition.Turn and position patieledge, Skills and Abilities
