JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a We are seeking a Nurse Manager for Duke South Durham Infusion to manage and coordinate patient care and personnel need in a DHIP Medicine Specialty Clinic; plan, develop, implement and evaluate ambulatory health care services, programs and activities.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage nursing services delivered within the clinic and ensure scope of practice compliance with nursing services
- Identify clinical operational needs; manage appropriate level of equipment and supplies and monitors equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with Health Center Administrator in determining the fiscal requirements of the specific clinic; submit budgetary recommendations, including necessary nursing personnel and patient care materials necessary for the provision of care
- Cultivate exemplary customer service throughout the organization; promote effective communication skills to include, but not limited to problem solving, assertiveness, and support for team members, feedback, active listening and conflict resolution..
- Manage various personnel actions including, but not limited to hiring, orientation, performance appraisals, promotions and scheduling; and counsel and conduct formal discipline of clinical staff.
- Develop, document, implement and monitor written policies and procedures reflective of the ambulatory health care site mission settlement and objectives. Manage specific clinic in absence of Health Care Administrator/Practice Manager; and be available on-call for emergencies involving the facility, staff members and patients.

- Assess the environment and make recommendations to ensure optimal patient comfort, safety and compliance with various regulatory bodies (OSHA, JCAHO, Infection Control etc.).
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN program.
- 3+ years of RN experience required
- 2+ years of RN leadership experience required in an ambulatory setting.
- Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
JOB HOURS:
The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
