Night/Weekend On-Site Supervisor

Duke Faculty Club

(a YEAR-ROUND part-time position)

 

Job Summary

Assist in the administration of the Duke Faculty Club office operations and in the supervision of club programs, policies, and procedures.

 

Work Performed

 

General Duties

- Responsible for creating a welcoming and informative office environment that promotes quality customer service and excellence.

- Participate in the operations of the office including but not limited to:

o Monitoring & assisting members with check-in process

o Answering member inquiries and providing front office assistance to DFC members

o Providing administrative and clerical support to include data entry, copying and filing

o Other general office tasks and Special Events support as needed

- Oversight of the DFC facilities and grounds, abiding by opening and closing procedures, and enforcing club policies including but not limited to:

o Covering/uncovering the lap pool during the spring and fall

o Checking pool chemicals

o Collecting trash on the patio and tennis courts

o Monitoring the DFC parking lot during ball games/special events

o Light office cleaning to include collecting trash, vacuuming.

- Committing to work at least one week night and one weekend shift a week.

 

 

Skills/Experience:

- Excellent customer service and communication skills. Prior experience in customer service industries preferred but not required

- Proper phone etiquette and office conduct

- Strong computer skills: Excel, Word, Access and web-based applications

- Ability to prioritize and adapt to a changing environment

- Organized and highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner

 

Work Hours: 5 – 12 hours total per week.

 

Education/Training: Work requires organization, communication, and comprehension skills generally acquired through a high school degree.
