OVERVIEW:
CLASSIFICATION ESTABLISHED FOR ANY NON-DUKE STUDENT PAID AT AN HOURLYRATE. THIS INCLUDES HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, VISITING UNDERGRADUATESTUDENTS, AND HOURLY VISITING GRADUATE STUDENTS. THE INCUMBENTWILL PERFORM VARIOUS DUTIES AS ASSIGNED BY THE DEPARTMENT. INCUMBENTSARE COMPENSATED AT VARYING RATES OF PAY BASED UPON THE WORK BEINGPERFORMED AND ACCORDING TO THE PAY SCHEDULE DEVELOPED AND MAINTAINED FOREACHDEPARTMENT. INCUMBENTS MUST BE PAID AT LEAST MINIMUM WAGE.
Work Performed
Position is available for immediate hire in the Frank-Ito Computational Modeling Research Lab at Duke University. The successful candidate will work closely with Dr. Dennis O. Frank-Ito on various projects related to upper airway respiratory physiology and pathophysiology associated with obstructive upper airway aerodynamics and aeroacoustics. The preferred candidate will havea strong background in medicine and some knowledge of computational and mathematical modeling.
