Research Assistant/Intern

 

Occupational Summary:

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Research Assistant/Intern to support our orthopedic sports medicine research team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with patient recruitment, data collection, and management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. You will collaborate with researchers to analyze data and prepare reports, contributing to the development of innovative treatment strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for advancing medical knowledge in a clinical setting. A background in healthcare or a related field is preferred.

 

Work Performed:

 

 

Collect experimental data for research protocols, including working with research subjects, running experimental procedures, and transferring data for non-complex studies outside of the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

 

Assist with the following:

Maintain study-specific equipment and processing of research samples

Analysis of data with oversight from PI and study statisticians

Design and programming of research experiments

Preparation of grant, conference abstract, and manuscripts

Review of journals, abstracts, and scientific literature to keep abreast of new developments in the field of study.

Attend department-wide research meetings/training sessions for Interns.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described therein.
