Anticipated Pay Range - Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $18.00 to USD $24.04.  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • College Degree - Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting (1-2years)

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Legible handwriting.
  • Strong listening, observing, and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality with patient information
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Position: Medical Scribe for clinical trainee with disability accommodations - Le Well

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  1. Provide manual assistance in navigating the electronic medical record as instructed by the clinical trainee to retrieve information necessary for patient care (50%)
  2. Provide verbatim documentation of interactions between the clinical trainee and their patients in real time (25%)
  3. Serve as a reader, scribe, and/or proctor for standardized exams as needed. (25%)

 

Upon hire, the candidate must complete training modules and credentialing as mandated by Duke Hospital and Health System including background check, drug testing, documentation of up-to-date immunizations, and confidentiality agreement.
