Nights-Work Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:30pm-7:00am, 4/10 hour shifts (premium pay offered for nights)

Weekends- Work Hours: Fri/Sat/Sun 7am-7:30pm (premium pay offered for weekends)
General Summary:
Medical Assistant performs a variety of routine duties in a hospital clinic to assist medical and nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients; set up and clean examination rooms. Please note, this position is a non-clinical role and does not provide clinical hours.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of routine duties in a hospital clinic to assist medical and nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients
- Sitting and watching multiple computer monitors (recording video & EEG), initiating a RN alert for seizures
- Will be trained in seizure recognition, equipment set up, retrieval, and cleaning, removing electrodes from patient's scalp
- Maintain inventory of supplies in examination rooms, replenish as required.
- light office admin duties, patient calls, answering the phone
- Escort and transport patients to various hospital locations; schedule patient appointments and prepare related records. Maintain work area in clean and orderly condition; wash and sterilize a variety of medical supplies. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Direct patient care experience preferred (not required)
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, including email and word processing

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program strongly preferred (Not required)
- High School diploma or GED graduation required
Experience:
- Work generally requires six months of experience in the healthcare setting.
- Education in a health related field can be used as a substitute for the experience.
Degrees, Licensures, Certifications:
Must be fully certified as a Medical Assistant (AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA,NCMA or ARMA) within 18 months of hire.
