What You’ll Do:

  • Promote all areas of the Duke University Golf Club while creating a positive and welcoming experience for golfers.
  • Direct and monitor the flow of play to ensure 18-hole rounds are completed within established timeframes.
  • Politely engage with golfers to address slow play, explain course rules, and share daily instructions.
  • Ride the course in a manner that supports play without disrupting golfers.
  • Assist golfers by helping locate lost balls and answering questions to enhance their experience.
  • Prepare and maintain golf cars by washing, cleaning, drying, restocking scorecards and pencils, and returning carts to proper storage.
  • Record daily player counts and golf car usage.
  • Verify cash register receipts prior to golfers’ tee times.
  • Support tournaments and special events as needed.
  • Assist pro shop staff throughout your shift and perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Help maintain a clean, attractive course by monitoring waste and general appearance.
This is a seasonal position based on the operational needs of the Golf Club.

Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $18.00 to USD $22.87.
