ROLE SUMMARY
The GME Program Coordinator will provide programmatic support to the daily administrative functions of the Duke Psychiatry Residency Training Program under the supervision of the Education Programs Manager who works in concert with the Program Director and reports to the Vice Chair of Education. The Coordinator will be responsible for managing complex, long-range administrative functions related to the educational mission and initiatives of the Program. This position will work in concert with the Program Director in monitoring current and new updates of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), and other applicable accrediting bodies associated with the field of Graduate Medical Education (GME); to help maintain residency accreditation.
The GME Program Coordinator may perform duties included but are not limited to:
- Planning and coordination of academic and operational activities as required;
- Planning and execution of routine and special projects and events as required;
- Administrative support as needed to Program Director
- Serving as backup to Program Coordinator as needed.
Job Responsibilities are outlined below:
The GME Program Coordinator will work in concert with the Residency Director, Education Programs Manager, and Program Coordinator with the day to day processes of the Adult Psychiatry Residency Program. The GME Program Coordinator will be the main point of contact and partner for the Residency Training Director. The GME Program Coordinator will be directly involved with activities related to the planning of Resident In-service Training Exams (PRITE), Recruitment, Onboarding/Orientation, Graduation, etc. The responsibilities listed below are some but not inclusive of all actions that the Coordinator may need to be involved in.

Required Qualifications
Education/Training
Work requires a general business background generally equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a business or related field.
Experience
Work requires 3 years of related business or administrative experience to acquire competence in applying general personnel practices, accounting and budgeting principles and coordination of major administrative functions.
A Masters degree in business related field may be substituted for 2 years of experience Or any other equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
Prior experience in Graduate Medical Education preferred, but not required.
REMOTE WORK: This position will be required to work on site 3 days per week. A discussion and defined terms of the hybrid work schedule will be determined with the Program Director and Education Programs Manager.
