Occupational Summary
Plan, develop and coordinate the preparation of financial analyses and reports including, but not limited to, operational and capital budgets, financial statements, statistical reports, cost analyses and other financial information; perform complex and specialized assignments in assigned area of expertise; perform lead role in coordinating complex projects.
Work Performed
Plan, develop and coordinate the preparation of financial analyses and reports including, but not limited to, operational and capital budgets, clinical budgets, financial statements, statistical reports, cost analyses and other financial information.
Monitor revenue and expenditures to identify progress, adverse trends or outliers and resolve problems concerning variances from approved budget.
Develop, execute and manage department contracts supporting the Education and Research missions and the Chair’s office. Review and management of GME Residency Agreements with area Hospitals and other Healthcare companies using Fee for Service model.
Maintain liaison with business unit financial managers to advise units regarding financial position, cash flows, accounts, budgets, budget requests and related financial matters.
Supervise, coordinate and participate in the preparation of various financial reports and analyses for senior leadership and external agencies.
Assist in the development and maintenance of Education, Research, Space and other departmental metric dashboards, monthly and ad hoc modeling and data reporting, and Profit & Loss Statements with 5-year modeling.
Assist in the development, implementation and management of financial systems, cost accounting systems and/or financial policies and procedures as appropriate.
Management and oversight of the department check deposits and wire transfers.
Recommend various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisal, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level
Education/Training
Work requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field. CPA is desirable.
Experience
Work requires a minimum of six years' experience in financial management, cost accounting or a field directly related to a specialized area of assignment.
