Clinical Research Coordinator – Psychiatry – Behavioral Neuroscience – Neacsiu/Rosenthal

This will be a full-time position, split 50% between Dr. Neacsiu’s ChANT lab and 50% with Dr. Rosenthal in the Center for Misophonia and Emotion Regulation. The successful candidate will support ChANT and CMER CRCs in running several randomized controlled trials testing interventions for misophonia, a condition in which people respond to everyday sounds with intense negative reactions. The job will include supporting trial coordination, recruiting participants, administering clinical interviews, and running psychophysiological experimental visits across labs. The candidate may also be involved in transcranial magnetic stimulation and EEG visits. This work will include supporting the clinical research teams on data collection, database management, and presentation/publication writing related to misophonia research. It would also include supporting CMER outreach, education, and advocacy activities designed to raise awareness about misophonia.

Minimum Requirements:

• Work requires completion of an Associate’s degree.
• Work requires a minimum of two years of relevant research experience. Completion of the DOCR North Carolina state approved Clinical Research Apprenticeship program may substitute for one year of required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience with clinical trials preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Experience with conducting human subjects experiments (psychophysiology, neuropsychology, EEG, etc) preferred
• Prior experience with administering clinical interviews and solid knowledge of the DSM-5 preferred

Other Requirements:

• No requirement to work outside of a regular 9-5 daily schedule. No weekend work requirement. Hybrid position

• Conducting clinical assessments with patients and non-clinical controls
