Occupational Summary

Perform a variety of duties associated with state authorization and accreditation to include the collection and analysis of data, the development of policies and procedures, and the orientation and training of departmental staff in compliance policies and procedures.

 

Work Performed

In conjunction with the Associate Vice Provost of Academic Affairs, perform a variety of complex and activities involved in the collection, analysis, documentation and interpretation of data related to departmental educational compliance, academic quality control, adherence to accreditation standards, and compliance with federal and state regulations.

Evaluate and interpret collected data and prepare written reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.

Develop forms and procedures to track and compile information and apply appropriate data analysis techniques; develop strategies for and manage data collection and benchmarks for accreditation activities and initiatives

Maintain liaison with schools and academic departments as well as related administrative departments; represent the department on various accreditation review committees.

In conjunction with the AVPAA write and edit state authorization, SACS-COC, and academic compliance reports and submissions.

Lead the University’s efforts related to state authorization and associated compliance, including liaising with NC-SARA.

Stay abreast of new developments in the fields of State Authorization and SACSCOC; recommend new policies and revise existing policies/procedures for compliance standards.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training

Work requires a bachelor's degree in a related field to acquire the appropriate cognitive, communicative and statistical reporting skills.

Experience

Work requires seven years of experience in education or business or related position. A related master's degree is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

 

 

Education

Work requires organization, analytical and communication skills normally acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program in accounting or a directly related field. Certification in one or more compliance fields preferred.

 

Experience

 

Works requires a minimum of 2 years experience in compliance or auditing setting, in a large complex organization such as a large university, hospital or healthcare organization or an accounting/consulting firm working primarily with such clients.
