Independently generates descriptive and basic test statistics, analysis of basic data requests, and generates statistical modeling results (e.g., mixed models, generalized linear models, survival analysis). Learns new statistical methods as needed and applies new skills to future projects. Performs SAS programming efficiently (e.g., macros, writing own code).  Independently identifies and corrects coding errors and validates output and results. Combines multiple disparate raw databases and derives analysis variables accurately.

Leads or participates actively in developing research-ready analysis data sets, writing statistical programs, and generating statistical output products (e.g., tables, listings, figures). Assess output quality and accuracy prior to sharing. Able to work on any phase of a manuscript project, from initial meeting with an investigator to final review of a manuscript prior to submission for publication, with guidance. Builds excellent documentation to effectively return to a manuscript project after long intervals or for use during post-study validation of analyses by others.
