What You’ll Do:
Lead Integrated Student Support & Conduct Management
Provide holistic case management for students facing disciplinary issues or significant mental, physical, or psycho-social challenges.
- Develop and implement intervention plans, facilitate restorative resolutions, and ensure timely follow-up.
- Collaborate with academic deans, healthcare providers, Student Affairs professionals, and families to coordinate support.
- Maintain accurate case records and monitor compliance with recommendations.
- Serve as a trainer and consultant on recognizing and responding to students at risk.
- Engage with parents and university staff to support student needs and guide case management processes.
Manage a High-Performance Team
- Recruit, train, and supervise Assistant Deans and graduate interns.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Conduct regular case review meetings, provide consultation and direction, and ensure timely closure of case files.
- Oversee outreach education, training, and resource distribution for faculty, staff, and students.
Drive Training, Education & Policy Development
- Design and deliver educational programs on student conduct, mental health awareness, and crisis response.
- Promote a culture of care and accountability across campus.
- Contribute to policy development that integrates student well-being and behavioral accountability.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement and neighborhood associations, to promote shared responsibility for student welfare.
Manage Administrative Operations
- Oversee data management systems and ensure accurate case documentation.
- Analyze trends to inform policy and improve case management practices.
- Participate in university committees and represent the department at events and conferences.
Support Additional University Goals
- Take on evolving responsibilities as needed to support departmental and university-wide initiatives.
Anticipated Pay Range:
Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $66,842.00 to USD $122,978.00. Duke University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills; internal peer equity; as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

What You Bring:
- A bachelor’s degree and at least six years of experience in student services, university administration, or a related field.
- A master’s degree in higher education, counseling, social work, public health, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in student conduct, case management, and crisis response.
- Exceptional communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
- A commitment to equity, inclusion, and restorative justice practices.
- Experience managing professional staff and leading a case management support team.
