Title: Assistant Director of Game Operations, Events, and Championships
Position Summary:
The position of Assistant Director of Game Operations, Events and Championships is to primarily assist the Assistant Athletic Director of Game Operations, Events and Championships with all event and facility operations as well as the additional needs of the Athletic Facilities, Game Operations, Events and Championships department. The Assistant Director of Game Operations, Events and Championships works closely with both internal and external constituents, including Duke University campus departments, outside groups requesting use of Athletic spaces and Atlantic Coast Conference, and NCAA officials as well as Duke University Athletics coaches, staff, and guests.
Essential Functions:
· Serve as primary game operations manager for men’s and women’s soccer and men’s and women’s lacrosse
· Serve as primary event manager for camps, campus and outside events as assigned by Deputy Director or Assistant Athletic Director of Game Operations, Championships & Events
· Oversight and management of all NCAA and ACC Championship events hosted on campus, including bid submission, financial reports, securing hotel contracts, etc.
· Serve as tournament director for on-campus ACC and NCAA championships hosted at Koskinen Stadium and assist with championships conducted in other facilities as assigned by Assistant Athletic Director of Game Operations, Championships & Events
· Serve as basketball and football game day entry operations manager and complete associated season and game-by-game prep assigned by primary game manager in support of operations and in collaboration with other staff
· Assist Assistant AD with Emergency Medical Response and Emergency Action Plans, including Severe Weather Operations plan management and communication for Duke Lacrosse and Soccer.
· Facility and business management of Koskinen Stadium, Kennedy Tower, and Skandalaris Pavilion, including facility scheduling through Virtual Event Management Systems software, estimate, contract, and settlement coordination
· Assist with athletic facility maintenance, upkeep, and renovation projects as assigned by Deputy AD, Director of Capital Planning or Director of Facilities Department hiring, mentoring, and development of student assistants including management of staff scheduling online software, staff schedule and time off submission, student hours management and time card approval
· Collaborate with Durham Sports Commission and promoters, under the direction of the Assistant AD, to generate revenue and non-revenue events hosted on the Athletics campus specifically within Koskinen Stadium and those in other facilities as need dictates
· Assist with game day operations for additional varsity sports, as assigned by Assistant AD.
· Other duties as assigned by the Assistant AD, Director of Facilities, or Deputy AD to support day to day operations, career goals, and other office staff as needed.

Anticipated Pay Range:
Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $52,000.00 to USD $60,000.00. Duke University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidate' swork experience, education/training, and keyskills; internal peer equity; as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. $52k-60k
