Occupational Summary
This position will serve the Department of Athletics and will assist the Men’s Basketball General Manager and Chief of Staff in the development and fulfillment of revenue generation and recruiting concepts and events in accordance with NCAA, ACC Conference and Duke University policies and procedures.
Work Performed
Business Development
· Plan and coordinate with General Manager, coaches, staff student-athletes, sponsors, and other constituents in development of new revenue generation opportunities.
· Collaborate with General Manager in negotiation and fulfillment of deliverables across internal and external NIL agreements
· Assist with content collection, athlete brand support, and other NIL-related touchpoints as needed.
· Support program fundraising efforts, including relationship development, event planning, and other stewardship activities.
· Take on special projects under the direction of the General Manager, Chief of Staff, or coaching staff, often with tight deadlines.
Recruiting
· Plan and collaborate with coaches and staff on all logistics for official and unofficial recruiting visits, including itineraries, event planning, lodging, meals, transportation, and on-campus experiences.
· Work with compliance, academic support, and admissions staff on visit preparations and materials.
· Serve as a point of contact and resource for prospective student-athletes and their families during visits and throughout the recruiting process.
Additional Areas of Responsibility
· Support home game hospitality needs, including VIP guests, ticket distribution, and special event access.
· Collaborate with Chief of Staff and other Athletics staff on ticket seating and distribution.
· Work with internal and external parties on team charitable events and activities.
· Maintain and update recruiting and travel databases.
· Schedule meetings, prepare materials, and perform additional administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree required.
· Three (3) years of experience in a sports agency, athletic administration, event management, client/hospitality services, or other relevant role.
· Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
· High attention to detail, discretion, and a service-first mindset.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a high-stakes environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Work requires analytical, communications and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.
Experience
Work requires three years of experience in program administration or involving academic, instructional or counseling activities to acquire skills necessary to plan, coordinate and implement a variety of program activities and events.OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Anticipated Pay Range:
Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $ 70,000.00 to USD $77,000.00. Duke University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills; internal peer equity; as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
