Occupational Summary

 

Support analytical data and information needs for clinical and operational customers.  Collaborate with assigned teams to deliver data requests, efficiently leveraging available applications and data across the system; provide consultation support on available tools, design options, data elements, and reports.  Maintain and troubleshoot existing reports available on all supported platforms; identify early issues and blocks, escalating as needed. Apply Agile methodologies around deliverables, mindful of timelines, budget and clear communication out to team and customers. Uphold the team’s value of inclusion, knowledge sharing and excellence in innovation.

 

*NOTE: This is a remote position. Candidate may be required to come on-site for trainings, special meetings, etc.

 

Work Performed

 

Responsibilities – 65% Effort

  • Provide data, reports and analytic support for operational, strategic and research stakeholder groups leveraging analytical assets and tools available across the system.
  • Identify, manipulate, integrate, analyze and validate data from multiple sources as needed, leveraging the Electronic Health Record (EHR) data.
  • Accurately apply data domain knowledge in the design and build of reporting, information, and analytic solutions. 
  • Write and maintain technical documentation for analytical data tools.
  • Perform quality assurance testing and validation with customers to ensure completeness and accuracy of data prior to migration into the production environment. 
  • Understand and follow all established guidelines for data development, migration and maintenance to relevant data environment(s).
  • Ensure all deliverables conform to the established standards; including change management processes, naming conventions, and documentation standards.
  • Support and contribute to team foundational efforts around best practice and infrastructure optimization.

 

Project Management – 10% Effort

  • Understand the project purpose and desired outcomes.  Gather and consistently document requirements for requests in collaboration with customers and translate these requirements into data analytics solutions for delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholder to understand deliverable roadmap and ensure projects meet deadlines.  Attend meetings as required.  Communicate updates to stakeholders regularly.

Communication – 15% Effort

  • Clearly convey, orally and in writing, technical information to a technical and non-technical audience.  
  • Communicate concerns clearly in a professional manner.  Refer complex questions and escalate issues to others as appropriate. 
  • Respond timely to emails, phone calls and questions, generally within one to two business days. Update stakeholders regularly on the status of their work requests. 
  • Be proactive and actively participate in team meetings, committees, task forces and ad hoc groups. 
  • Embrace team values such as active participation, active listening and transparency.

 

Technical Innovation  – 15% Effort

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends 
  • Learn new applications or technical coding languages, applying new technologies to workflows and/or reporting deliverables.

Minimum Qualifications

 

Education/Training

Work requires knowledge normally acquired thru a Bachelor’s degree in Sciences and Applied Sciences preferred. Degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field will be considered.

 

Experience

Work generally requires one year of related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Experience in an analytical role within the healthcare industry is preferred.
