The Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Admissions Officer to join the Admissions, Recruiting, and Marketing (ARM) team. In this role, you will help recruit and enroll students into Pratt’s graduate engineering programs, including the Master of Engineering Management (MEM), Master of Engineering (MEng), and Master of Science (MS) degree programs.
You will serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students, helping them navigate the admissions process from initial interest through enrollment. You'll represent Pratt at recruitment events, build relationships with prospective students and partners, support admissions processing, and use data to help achieve enrollment goals.
This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on the growth and success of Pratt’s graduate programs while working collaboratively with faculty, staff, alumni, and university partners. Due to the nature of the role, extensive recruitment travel is required, particularly during the fall and spring recruitment cycles.
Minimum Requirements
- Generally requires a Bachelors degree.
- Experience in admissions, recruitment, enrollment management, higher education, sales, or a related field.
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with prospective students, applicants, partners, or other key stakeholders.
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems and the ability to use data and technology to support recruitment and enrollment activities.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, provide exceptional service, and build meaningful relationships with diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Slate or a similar admissions CRM system.
- Experience supporting graduate admissions, student recruitment, or enrollment management initiatives.
- Experience analyzing recruitment and admissions data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Experience planning, coordinating, and executing recruitment events and outreach activities.
- Knowledge of international student admissions processes and visa documentation requirements.
Other Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
- Ability to travel independently for recruitment events and other university activities.
- Ability to accommodate extensive domestic recruitment travel (approximately 50%), with occasional international travel as needed.

Position Description:
- Develop and implement recruitment and yield activities designed to achieve graduate enrollment goals for Pratt’s master’s degree programs.
- Represent Pratt graduate programs at recruitment fairs, conferences, undergraduate institutions, webinars, virtual events, and other outreach opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective students, applicants, alumni, and institutional partners while providing exceptional customer service throughout the enrollment process.
- Coordinate logistics and support execution of recruitment initiatives, including admitted student events, virtual programming, and recruitment travel.
- Process applications, verify application materials, support admissions reviews, process admissions decisions, and assist with international student visa documentation.
- Monitor recruitment and admissions data within Slate and other systems, maintain data integrity, analyze enrollment trends, and provide reporting to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with marketing and recruitment team members to develop communications, promotional materials, social media content, and outreach campaigns.
- Serve as a resource for prospective students by responding to inquiries and providing timely, accurate information regarding programs, admissions requirements, and enrollment processes.
- Participate in special projects, orientation activities, commencement events, and other initiatives that support the overall goals of the Admissions, Recruiting, and Marketing team.

Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $45,661.00 to USD $69,707.00.
