Associate in Research
Our lab is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join us as an Associate in Research for a one-year position. Our lab focuses on pioneering research utilizing Neurovascular Unit (NVU)-on-a-chip technology to explore neurodegenerative diseases, brain tumors, and immunotherapy. This platform allows for the study of CNS diseases in a more efficient manner by investigating interactions with neurovasculature, beyond traditional animal or cell culture models. The NVU-on-a-chip model is already established, and we continue to enhance its throughput in terms of sample preparation and assay capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Postdoctoral Experiments in the Lab (70%)
· Learn and shadow ongoing research projects
· Assist with lab experiments, including cell cultures, microfluidic chip preparation, and routine tasks such as stock management and ordering
Independently Execute Research Projects (30%)
· Design and develop an independent research project
· Conduct experiments, analyze data, and interpret results
· Contribute to the preparation of research papers and grant proposals
· Opportunity to conclude your work with a publication or presentation at a conference
What We’re Looking For:
· While prior experience with cell culture and standard bioassays is a plus, it is not required; we are willing to provide full training
· Candidates with experience in CNS disease models will find that our NVU-on-a-chip offers an exciting platform for more dynamic and efficient research
· A strong desire to learn and contribute to innovative research
For more detailed information about our research, please refer to our recent publications available on our lab website.
We look forward to receiving applications from aspiring researchers who want to make a meaningful impact in the field of neuroscience.
